I see other web sites that offer flowers arranged but then it says that they are shipped FedEx overnight …. Is this for real?
In a word no. It is a very subtle form of false advertising. These companies do ship flowers, however the recipient is required to remove the flowers from the box and arrange then arrange the flowers. These web sites promote that the flowers are "farm fresh" and come straight to you from the farm but what they neglect to say is most local florist process and refrigerate the stems first to ensure a much longer vase life. Only a local florist will deliver flowers that are designed to be enjoyed upon arrival. Most retail florists offer same day delivery or next day delivery locally and nationally.
